Problem:

Sometimes a regular event is marked as an all-day event by Outlook.

Solution:

Sometimes when you create an event in Outlook that starts at 12 AM that is NOT an all-day event, Exchange marks it as an all-day event. It is then displayed incorrectly when sync'd to iCal.

Create an all day recurring event in Outlook. Save it. Now open it and change it to a recurring event that starts at 12 AM but is not all-day.

Notice that Exchange leaves the "X-MICROSOFT-CDO-ALLDAYEVENT:TRUE" set to true when it should be FALSE.

Solution:

We know of no solution to this intermittent problem ... fortunately it's relatively rare.
