Problem:I want to know what the setting "Only sync items created in iCal" does.
Solution:
In Groupcal 3.0 to 3.23 "Only sync items created in iCal" was named "Ignore other Exchange items"
When an event or task is sync'd from iCal to Exchange (whether new or just modified), the event or task has a category added, called Groupcal.
If the "Only sync items created in iCal" option is on/checked for a given calendar, then:
1. When a new event or task is created in iCal and then sync'd into Exchange, the event or task is marked with the category "iCal:<iCal calendar name>".
2. When a sync is performed, the only items in Exchange that will be sync'd are those marked with an "iCal:<iCal calendar name>" category; i.e.: those events and tasks that were created in iCal.
Outlook Web Access does not show categories, only the Outlook client shows them.
Note: "iCal:<iCal calendar name>" means the Exchange Categories entry where the selected iCal calendar name is the "<iCal calendar name>" portion of the entry.
