This release is a recommended upgrade for all users running OS X 10.4.0 and newer.

Note: AddressX 1.30 and newer require OS X 10.4 or newer.

Changes in this release:

  • added a "Contact Information" field that can be used to add user-specified content into the "Note" field when updating GAL entries into the Address Book ... useful to users who want to filter their Address Book entries when syncing to devices

  • added preferences to set the timeout for both the initial networking connection and for subsequent communications

  • changed the behavior to avoid trying to update if the Exchange server is not reachable (e.g., network connection is not available, route is not available, etc.)

  • fixed a problem that could prevent authentication in some instances

  • fixed a problem where an incorrect message indicating a login failure was given if the Exchange server was unavailable

  • added the ability to specify a custom FBA login URL (required for some customized Exchange server logins — should only be used at Snerdware's direction)

  • fixed the "Check for Update" menu behavior

AddressX 1.50 2006-06-23-1 released on 2006-07-01

This release is a recommended upgrade for all users running OS X 10.4.0 and newer.

Note: AddressX 1.30 and newer require OS X 10.4 or newer.

Changes in this release:

  • added support for OS X's "faster user switching" so AddressX can now be used by multiple users on a given system

  • added a workaround capability to allow a manually customized setup to support customized Exchange-server logins

  • fixed a problem with non-secure/non-SSL connections

  • fixed a problem where installed files could have incorrect permissions

  • various cosmetic changes
Note: It is a known issue that AddressX's "Check for Update" menu entry thinks that AddressX 1.2 is a newer version (obviously, it's not).

AddressX 1.30 2006-06-12-1 released on 2006-06-12

This release has many "under the hood" changes that come about from beginning to share the same code as used in Groupcal, where appropriate.

Note: AddressX 1.30 and newer require OS X 10.4 or newer.

Changes in this release:

  • AddressX is now delivered as a Universal Binary

  • updated to use the same Exchange server setup code as Groupcal (fixes various server connection/login issues)

  • updated the Uninstaller to be more robust

  • added a preference to allow the AddressX Daemon to be quit when AddressX is quit (the AddressX Daemon is not required if automatic updates are not enabled)

AddressX 1.2 (v235)

This build of AddressX 1.2 is required for OS X 10.3.9 and runs on OS X 10.2.x and 10.3.x.
